A big genus originally from America, both from the coast as from the snowy mountains. Oncidium flowers are produced in many different shades of yellow and red. It is known for it's abundant flowering period. The size of the flowers can vary from 1 to 4 cm. Watering once a week and now and then feed some fertiliser. After flowering the stem can be cut off. The plant needs a rest period after flowering. In summer the plant can be placed outside.
